There has been tremendous progress in health sciences – from mapping and sequencing of the Human Genome to the rapid development of COVID19 vaccines in the present pandemic. However, the ultimate promise of the best healthcare will not be achieved without opening wide the doors of the healthcare workforce to all. The mission of the Society of University Surgeons (SUS) is supporting and advancing leaders in academic surgery. We believe that when powerful voices are organized, empowered and heard, they will change the world.
The SUS Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee was formalized in 2020 with the goals of increasing diversification of its membership, and incorporating equity, diversity and inclusion into the operations of the organization.
As SUS Members, we wish to seek your active input. The aim of the following survey is to help determine our priorities and focus as we move forward. This survey is anonymous and should not take longer than 10 minutes to complete. We deeply appreciate your participation, and continuing support of the SUS.
