Updates

The 5th Annual Academic Surgical Congress was a tremendous success in San Antonio in February.  This premier meeting for surgical research in the US had more than 940 physicians in attendance.  Outstanding presentations included this year's Joel Roslyn Lecture by David Berger, the presentation of our Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Richard Simmons, and our Presidential address by David Geller.  We inducted 35 new members during our Business meeting and three honorary members were presented: Masao Tanaka, Ines Buccimazza, and Henrik Thorlacious.
