The Application site will open on July 1, 2007, and close on August 31, 2007.

This award is intended to support a surgeon whose work involves the translational or outcomes research related to a surgical disease.

Amount - $30,000 per year
Duration - One year with the option to apply for a second year.

Applicant must be:
- Tenure-track faculty member in a Department of Surgery.
- Within 3 years of his/her first faculty appointment.

Individuals with research support such as national extramural grants are eligible. Officers and Members of the SUS Scholarship Committee are excluded from mentoring Fellows. Applications must be sent electronically this year.
